60 Minutes - 11 minutes - everyone of those folks who died...
Edited on Sun May-30-04 09:56 PM by AmyStrange

in Iraq are better than Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld, because they were on the battlefield fighting and not in an office somewhere pushing papers.

It's also what makes Kerry better than Bush in my opinion,

(or something like that),

6. ...and now they are all dead. "
I've been looking for Rooney's closing quote. Anyone have it?

The only quote on the site is:

"On this Memorial Day, we should certainly honor those who have died at war, but we should dedicate this day, not so much to their memory, but to the search for a way to end the idiocy of the wars that killed them. "

He also said (paraphrase): We (the USA) spend 7 times as much on WAR as we spend on education. That's wrong!

9. I will never forget those pictures.
The entire Bu$h family and Admini$tration should be forced to watch, too!

Just look at all of the American lives that were snuffed out prematurely. And, we're not even talking about the thousands of killed Iraqis...or, all of the maimed.

One viewer even wrote that he / she wasn't going to watch 60 Minutes anymore...until CBS 'got rid of' Andy Rooney...the "un-American". Ugh!

:-(

10. ...sad...
I don't want to say wasted lives...let's hope their lives weren't wasted....let's hope their lost lives bring us to a new understanding... of how we select our leaders... how much power we give them to order the sacrifice of the lives of our young people.

Shouldn't they make the first sacrifice?

to attend even a single funeral.

It was classy for CBS to use Barber's Adagio as background as it's become something of a mourning dirge for fallen Americans. Maybe * would have watched if they had played Toby Keith's "Proud to be an American" instead.
