1. NOTICE where the email came from: the PENTAGON!
Edited on Sun May-30-04 01:59 PM by kalian
I have a feeling that a counter coup is happening and its coming
from the military.... :wow:

On edit:

Feith, Wolfowitz and Cheney, along with Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and Cheney's Chief of Staff Lewis "Scooter" Libby, form the core of Bush administration "hawks" who pushed for the war in Iraq. :wow: :wow:

5. It's been ongoing for a few months. Consider the following facts....
Edited on Sun May-30-04 02:11 PM by Media_Lies_Daily
1. Someone in the Army managed to slip the torture pics and videos past the Army censors;

2. The DIA dropped the "Chalabi bomb";

3. Several senior officers have been quoted in the mainstream media strongly stating that Rummy and his staff need to be fired;

4. Information counter to that being pushed by the Pentagon civilian "leadership" continues to leak out to the mainstream press from the various branches of the military.

2. Yes
Halliburton, sitting at the secret energy meeting, insisted that they needed a war to boost profit. "Hey Dicky, no competing contractors eh"?

17. No
The war was already a done deal. Cheney was just getting together and giving a little help to his friends so they could get in on the action too.

9. If Kerry is elected ...
... and he has the balls to investigate, NONE of the Bush staffers will EVER work in government again. We can bring down the ENTIRE Neo-con infrastructure with a special prosecutor.

14. Cheney's Secret Energy Meetings
The Supreme Court is in the process of making a ruling on this.

Scalia has refused to recuse himself. Democrats in Congress need to develope spines and demand that Scalia recuse himself. The secret meeting have to be unclassified!

US media. Of course this story came out on a Sunday before a holiday - like all big stories in this administration come out on weekends and holidays.

18. Time is covering the story
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1101040607-644111,00.html

Sunday, May. 30, 2004
Vice President Dick Cheney was a guest on NBC's Meet the Press last September when host Tim Russert brought up Halliburton. Citing the company's role in rebuilding Iraq as well as Cheney's prior service as Halliburton's CEO, Russert asked, "Were you involved in any way in the awarding of those contracts?" Cheney's reply: "Of course not, Tim ... And as Vice President, I have absolutely no influence of, involvement of, knowledge of in any way, shape or form of contracts led by the Corps of Engineers or anybody else in the Federal Government."

Cheney's relationship with Halliburton has been nothing but trouble since he left the company in 2000. Both he and the company say they have no ongoing connections. But TIME has obtained an internal Pentagon e-mail sent by an Army Corps of Engineers official—whose name was blacked out by the Pentagon—that raises questions about Cheney's arm's-length policy toward his old employer. Dated March 5, 2003, the e-mail says "action" on a multibillion-dollar Halliburton contract was "coordinated" with Cheney's office. The e-mail says Douglas Feith, a high-ranking Pentagon hawk, got the "authority to execute RIO," or Restore Iraqi Oil, from his boss, who is Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz. RIO is one of several large contracts the U.S. awarded to Halliburton last year.
more . . .

22. Anyone who believed Cheney had svered his ties to Halliburton
Probably believes in trickle down economics, a magic man in the sky, and that the drug war does anything to even slow down drug use.

In other words, they have their head up their ass.
