15. Right. Just ask Tony Blair.
His kiss of death was being the chimp's side kick in this illegal, unprevoked, pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. If Blair survives his election, it'll be a miracle. No one wants to stand by the idiot-in-chief's side. I wonder if the UN will bail the asshole out? Why would they? They want him gone as much as we do. Let him go down in flames.

4. Pure genius. They probably got the idea from the Vietnamese...
Need troops trained for your insurgency? Can't create suitable camps due to bombing? Simple!

Send your new recruits to join the US trained and equiped "Iraqi Police" and they will be fighting fit in no time!

As an added bonus they will be exposed to US troops and may be able to pick up useful information regarding US tactics!

Send no money now! Just sign the dotted line!

13. Holy Crap
I never thought of that side - using Uncle Sam to train their own insurgents and gather operational intel.

I wouldn't be surprised.

It doesn't take long to learn that fighting the US head-to-head is a losing proposition. I was surprised that Sadr's militia kept fighting us for so long before changing tactics. And that's what I think this "truce" really is - a change in tactics, melting back into the woodwork for another day.

9. Wonder how many in the new appointed govt. will decide to turn it down
too? I just can't imagine a bunch of folks standing in line to be picked for a government where you'd be a sitting duck for a coup.
