I wonder if Ridge just got tired of being forced to be the boy who cries wolf? Did he say "no" to Rove? Predictions on how long he will last?
So how come Ashcroft did not raise the color to orange? Is the color coding Tom's personal little toy, and Ashcroft can't play with it?
Interesting these alerts are always before weekends like Memorial day. Expect another one just before July 4th. Maybe Father's Day. Yawn. Like I said before, there is only one color to all these alerts, and it is a nice, rich, BS brown.
And Ashcroft. His voice affectation. GAWD. That guttural, gravelly, deeply serious thing he does is such a joke. He doesn't really talk like that!!! It's laughable. He started talking differently when Jesus appointed him attorney general. Try to talk like he does, and it is apparent how affected (false) it is. It's hollywood tough guy impersonation gone very bad.

US: What?!! another attack? How do you know?

Ashcroft: what do you mean how do we know? Aren´t we showing you the pictures? What more proof do you need?

US: Yes, but you said you are looking for them.

Ashcroft: That´s correct.

US: Well, if you don´t know where they are, then how can you claim they are planning another attack?

Ashcroft: What?

US: YOu heard me! How do you know they are planning another attack? Besides, two people in these photos are already in your custody! How can that be?

Ashcroft: What?! Are they? Who said?

US: The press reported that based on the administrations earlier claim.

Aschcroft: Well who are you going to believe, me or the adminstration?

US: What?

Aschcroft: uh, i mean, who are you going to believe me or the press.

US: so if there´s another impending attack, that you are so sure of, how come the threat level is still yellow?

Aschroft: Is it? well, it is meant to be orange. Don´t worry it will be changed to orange tomorrow.

Tom (DHS): No it isn´t!

US: what?

Ashcroft: Yeah, what?!

Tom: It will not be orange, as we don´t have any credible proof yet regarding an impending attack.

Aschroft: Yes we do! Can´t you see these pictures of terrorists!! That mean´s we have credible proof.

Tom: yeah, well, does it look like i give a shit? The threat level stays yellow!

US: why?

Tom: Cause it matches my tie, that´s why! Any way who are you to question me?

US: We are the people you are supposed to protect!

Tom: Who said? uh..i mean, yeah but don´t worry you´ll be fine. No credible evidence of an attack in the future.

Aschroft: LIAR! There´s gonna be an attack and we are all gonna die!!

US: you mean us?

US: But you should be preventing attacks from happening?

Tom: what gave you that idea?

US: Geez! what the heck is wrong with you guys? we wanna speak to the President!

Ashcroft: He´s not available. He´s leaving for Italy soon.

Tom: Yes, he has to meet the Pope..and let him know that an attack is going to happen soon, so he better pray for you guys, i mean, for all those left after the attack.

US: You know what? We are getting really pissed off now! Why can´t you do something to help protect us.

Aschroft: We are. We are going to attack Iran soon, and then possibly Syria around next easter.

US: And how will that help us?

Tom: Well, as the pres has said, we will ´smoke these buggers out´. we will attack these countries, and they will retaliate by conducting suicide terrorist attack in our country..and as the attacks are suicides, they´ll all be dead!

US: But what about us?!!

Aschroft: Oh please, Don´t be so selfish. Grow up! WE ARE TRYING TO FIGHT TERRORISM HERE!!
