Okay. What type of THWARTED terrorist attack has Rove decided upon?
Any real good guesses?

Let's see. In the last couple of weeks we've had a rather effective faux beheading. That didn't quite do the trick in the polls though - Chimpy dropping like a rock.

Now we've got the imminent Al Qaeda summer attack ploy going on - but that too will wear off before too long - with the fool war chimp likely still dropping in the polls. So what's it going to be?

Another hijacking? Not sure. Dramatic, but been there, done that. Whether its thwarted or not - a hijacking is soooo 2001 - and in addition to killing the airlines altogether (and the weak chimp economy) - it might possibly displace and thereby somewhat diminish the sacred, sacred, oh so sacred images of that holiest of days -
9-11.

Al Qaeda looking to attack this SUMMER, huh? Summer...this summer. Well...the Olympics are coming up this summer.

Naw - surely, even Bushler and the evil Bush Crime Administration wouldn't sink low enough to use our young American Olympic athletes as political pawns - intentionally allowing them to be endangered unnecessarily (er, but, is that not exactly the way we treat our young American soldiers?) In front of a horrified worldwide TV audience.

Sick! Positively revolting!! <sigh> What to do then? Cheney, Rumsfeld, and the rest of the movers and shakers of the BFEE/PNAC Mob don't pay Herr Rove the big bucks for nothing, do they?

:wow:

considering the rumor last month of an April 19th attack, it would be a good way to scare people. If not, it will be our convention, as a way to upstage Kerry.

2. They will have 'credible' evidence of NYC attack during RNC
to keep the protesters away. Then, miraculously, Dick Cheney himself will spot the 'suspicious character' with the faux dirty bomb strapped inside his jacket. And the rest is history.

7. They showed these thugs descending on Boston
Looks like Rove is setting us up for when the GOP dirty tricksters set off a truck bomb outside the Democratic National Convention in hopes of assassinating Kerry along with much of their opposition.

10. Perfect excuse to outlaw demonstrations in NYC during the GOP convention?
Edited on Wed May-26-04 06:59 PM by scarletwoman
They're saying "summer OR fall" -- my first thought was that THIS is how they'll clamp down on the anti-bush* demonstrations planned for the Republican Convention in September.

No matter what, since I firmly believe that "Al Qaeda" is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BFEE, I think we can be sure that whatever happens, it is being designed to be of maximum advantage to the evil cabal of criminals in the White House.

We need to get out front NOW with a strategy to counter this advantage. At the very least, start writing LLTEs that point out how the Iraq invasion has used up time, manpower and resources that SHOULD have been spent on strengthening alliances, sharing intelligence, and following the money (can you say "Saudi Arabia"? SURE you can!) -- all the things that one would do if one were actually serious about disrupting global terror cells.

But no, we got an illegal invasion instead...

13. July 4th, Washington DC -
Suspected Al-Qaida operatives Adnan G. El Shukrijumah and Aafia Siddiqui were arrested early this morning after a tip from a local escort service led FBI investigators to a seedy east side motel. They searched and keys were discovered to a warehouse storage service just blocks away. The storage room was later found to be full of annhydrous ammonia. Their rental van was also searched and thousands of blasting caps were found, along with Korans and framed, signed portraits of Osama bin laden.

Asked about the incident, President Bush joked that he's glad the terrorists had finally, "learned to get dumber."

19. A microbiologist and a chemist
The two you mention, Siddiqui is a microbiologist and Shukrijumah has supposedly studied chemistry, and both were linked to the Padilla dirty bomb scare.

Both were supposedly id'ed by Khalid Sheikh Mohammed too. US sources initially confirmed reports that Siddiqui had been arrested in Pakistan, then later backtracked, and Shukrijumah was living in Florida as late as March 2003. They were probably both picked up around that time, to be used later in bullshit like this.

21. Dirty bomb at the Statue of Liberty
Lady Liberty is still closed to visitors, so there would be few casualties. Yet, the symbolism and emotional reaction would be huge. Plus, Bu$h would have an excuse to get rid of that ugly green statues those Frenchies gave us.

23. Not the Olympics
they're being held in Greece. The fact they're in another country would make it harder for Buschco to control the investigation.

I'm worried about the Democratic Convention. They'd no doubt time it to maximize their chances of taking out Kerry (and, as I said in another post, another candidate killed in a plane crash would be sooo obvious) and a good chunk of the party leadership - both elected officials and party office holders - leaving the Democrats in chaos.

On the other hand, another attack could backfire badly...I can also see them stopping the attack on the DNC in the nick of time and saving their opposition. Proving Bushco has made America safer :puke:
