Poppy sounds off

WASHINGTON (AFP) - President George W. Bush father expressed confidence that his son would win this year's presidential election, even with a weak economy. :scared::scared:

"American elections are decided on the economy," the one-term former president told NBC television, adding that he believes the economy is strong this year and will be stronger by the November 2 election.

"But even without that, I think the country is looking for a strong leader, and it's got one, and they're going to want (him) to serve more." (snip)

"It's pretty hurtful. I mean, when you see all of these books. It's all anti-Bush. It's all anti-my family. It just burns you up," he said. He also denounced accounts that his son was obsessed with invading Iraq since taking office in January 2001.

"That's a bunch of bull," the elder Bush said.

4. Did that fuckstick ever complain about the anti-Clinton books?
About any of the bile from Coulter? The stupid diatribes from Hannity, from O'Reilly, Savage, etc. etc? The lies of Karen Hughes?

That was rhetorical, btw.

:P

5. Nazi Poppy

He can not be let off the hook. Poppy is directly responsible for teaching Sonny Boy values. Since Poppy is valueless so is Sonny Boy.
Poppy is a disgrace to our nation and I hope he is exposed too.

6. I think Boo-Beautiful-Mind Babs is behind this.
GHWB is smarter than Shrub--he knew if he went to Baghdad it
would be a disaster. The criticism of Chimpy must be hitting
home if Babs made Poppy take the show on the road.

14. Probably was Babs, but what did you expect to hear from Poppy?
Did you really expect to hear him say "my son's an idiot"?

We all know Poppy doesn't like public speaking, and someone pushed him out there to try to help the kid. I have my own reason for disliking Poppy, but I have to admit he wasn't as bad a the kid.

17. There's an Oedipal component to the father/son relationship.
It's not all sunlight and roses between the two men.

I just think GHWB has been above the partisan fray
to this point, and that him getting involved at this
late date would not be his idea. GHWB really is classier
than that, puking on a Japanese minister nothwithstanding.

He's the last person that should be tossing around election predictions.

16. I just remember seeing
Poppy, Babs, Shrub, and Pickles sitting in that hotel room on election night, and the looks on their faces, like they KNEW Florida wasn't going to Gore, even after being told it was.

19. The family that preys together....
stays together.

Poppy Bush is the God father of the Bush Crime Family.

Dim Son was chosen to lead but has failed miserably. He is the Frado of the family.

18. These are my favorite threads.
Quotes from Mom and Dad. They're just begging for a response.....and they get it.

So what's great about his latest quote? I think I like his statement, "It just burns you up". It looks like Dad's angry.

Now notice his earlier statement, "I mean you see all these books". Now what does that TELL you, Dad? That they're all lying? Both current and former government officials, insiders, people who know the score, who have risked ALL and paid for it with their careers, a good night's sleep and all that. Some have even paid with their lives.

So each and every one of these people is lying? Look at the numbers, Dad. That should tell you something.

They're all saying essentially the same thing. If it was only one book, who cares? But when it's an entire SECTION at Powell's Books in Portland, it's another matter altogether.

20. He needs to go out and actively campaign for his boy.
That way, Kerry gets his landslide. The Bush family needs to run their mouths some more. Line them all up, and let them all speak. The majority of Americans will turn them out and be done with them once and for all.
