George Bush gave Bin Laden what he wanted for years.
Edited on Wed May-26-04 09:47 AM by blm
Bin Laden demanded US troops close their base in Saudi Arabia. All the while we were bombing Afghanistan for show, Bushies were planning to go into Iraq so they could remove their bases from Saudi Arabia. The base is closed - The terrorists won. Thanks George.

Bin Laden had long targeted Saddam Hussein because of his strict adherence to a secular government. The Al Qaeda, Taliban and their Islamic extremist sympathizers had longed for a real base of operations. Bush removed Saddam from power, now elections are being rushed through and the largest constituency just happens to be the religious extremists. Once again, Bush does what Bin Laden wanted. The terrorists won. Thanks George.

Never underestimate the power of the bond between the House of Bush, the House of Saud and the Bin Laden family. George Bush made sure the terrorists won.

3. Nope. They closed it with no fanfare so the public wouldn't notice.
The media barely mentioned it at the time.

It was EXACTLY what Bin Laden demanded. Bush gave in to that demand.

6. Holy crap.
That's a huge deal. I haven't read or heard about it at all. Fucking media. Argh.

I agree with you. Bush has appeased Bin Laden every step of the way. Done everything he wanted.

Few in the media reported it. And I don't recall ANY pics of the closing.
Bushies do a great job of keeping the press intimidated and silenced about major events.

15. Maybe you can put together a more cohesive post than mine.
I think we need to take control of this point and press it constantly since the RNC is already pushing their lying meme equating Kerry victory as a victory for terrorists.

The Repubs always project their own sins on their opponents.

4. Bush gave Bin Laden almost *everything* Bin Laden wanted.
Edited on Wed May-26-04 09:51 AM by w4rma
Bases out of SA. check
Topple Saddam. check
Do things to create hatred of our nation. check
Increase ranks of Al Queda. check
Waste America's resources, which brings down America's power in the long term. check
Not pay strong enough attention to terrorism before 9.11. check

I don't even know what more Al Queda could ask for from Bush. Bush has been the best gift they could have ever been given.

7. Bush APEASED osama by removing troops from Saudi Arabia
Edited on Wed May-26-04 10:26 AM by proud patriot
bush played right into osama's rhetoric by invading
Iraq , creating more terrorists .

BUSH IS WEAK ON DEFENSE
he's shortsighted and puts each American in Danger .
He underfunds first responders , ports and borders.
While he spends extravagently giving our tax dollars
to his friends who PROFIT off of War , Thus they
Profit off of American Blood being spilt .

Not to mention how he weakens America Finacially .

Bush is a Traitor not only to the Constitution
but to our land it's people , and our pursuit
of LIFE , LIBERTY and Happiness ...

Minutemen Sound The Alarm , but who will listen ?

8. even more than he expected
And we wonder why there hasn't been another terrorist attack on US soil. There is no need. We have done everything that Osama expected us to do and more. If Al Qaeda was to attack us again we may actually be given another opportunity to rally the entire world together behind a common cause, but most likely we would again squander the opportunity and attack some country this administration despises such as Iran. Perhaps if the citizens of this nation are intelligent enough to elect a new president then we can again begin a constructive dialogue with other citizens of the world and their leaders to actually solve some of the problems we are all facing. However, if this nation reelects Bush the message sent to the rest of the world will be that the problem is not Bush and his administration but the american people who continue to support him.

10. Also, bin Laden wanted Oil Prices to be $50/bbl or more
Bush, with his current stunt of filling of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, is rapidly pushing prices up to meet bin Laden's dream.

The current oil prices are hovering around $41/bbl, and may go higher this summer.

13. And next year Bush will give Bin Laden the Holy War he always wanted.
So both of the extremist factions of the Christians and Islamists have their prophecies fulfilled.

A vote for Bush is a vote for Bin Laden.

18. Do you think our lean, mean Democratic machine is going to point
that out to Americans?? Chances are about 10% I'd say. You see this is just the type of images we have to inform the public about because they simply don't know and don't put 2 and 2 together. Guaranteed if the situations were reversed, the challenger George Bush would be running ads saying just that against President Kerry with images of Pres. Kerry with his arm around bin Laden-------hmmm, in fact isn't that a favorite tactic used by the repukes against opponents in general like Max Cleland, etc. Time to stop passing up opportunities.
