go to Canada, you'd better check it out now and see if you actually qualify to emigrate there. They're quite picky about who they'll let in.

I want both of my draft age sons out of the country in November, and they think I'm just a complete nut-case.

If Bush and his cabal stay in power, they'll probably close the borders immediately and not allow anyone of draft age to leave. The rest of us might be able to go, but we probably won't be able to bring any significant assets with us. So maybe now is a good idea to open a Swiss bank account.

And the truth is, as several others have already pointed out, that even if Kerry is elected, things won't turn around very quickly. We're in very deep in Iraq. The tax cuts are destroying the economy. Jobs are still going to go overseas. It's going to be a long time before things are very good again.
