Bush's upcoming Iraq speech schedule
After his speech last night at the US Army War College (in which he did NOT whistle show tunes) President Bush will embark on the follow schedule of informing the American public and the world of the "plan" for Iraq through speeches at centers of learning across the country (this country not THAT country).

May 31st-Speech at the Electoral College- Inform these "mathists" of the plan for elections in Iraq and ask for a contingency to help observe the Iraq elections later this year (the group will need to leave immediately and will not be returning prior to US elections in November).

June7th- Speech at Bob Jones University- Outline the reconstruction process and how the Catholics can assist Iraqis as part of multi-denomination effort. Later, invite only meeting on exactly how many Catholics will be needed and can be sent/funded to leave.

June 14th- Speech at Hamburger University (McDonald's)- Discuss the need for humanitarian aid for those skinny Iraqis and business opportunities in a newly formed Iraq.

June 21st- Speech at the School of the Americas- No itinerary available at this point and stop asking.

June 28th-Speech at the Devry Institute- Inform the student body (and those like them) that it would be wise ;) to keep their grades up and that "Gentlemans' C's" don't count anymore.

4. I hope they don't cover the future speeches.
I think the newtorks don't want to air them either.

If someone really wants to see them, c-span or/and the cable news will always air them. If the objectors don't have cabel, maybe a petition to their Public TV station would be a better option.

2. I find these venues embarrassing. Do you?
What does this schedule communicate about The USA PResident's ability to promote (an be welcomed by) our country's prestigious institutions?

5. LOL
Send the Catholics to Iraq! That will go over well with the crowd at Bob Jones University. Good satire.

The "should Kerry be allowed to receive communion" issue is not only forced by the right but (I don't know the actual word) as they aren't very crazy about Catholics especially the bornagain crowd.

10. bin Laden -He's Fit, He's Tanned, He's Rested!
If Bush is going on a worldwide tour he better avoid Afghanistan and about 60 other countries, because a new report says al-Qaida's back and they're still looking to change the world one infidel at a time. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=514&e=6&u=/ap/20040525/ap_on_re_eu/al_qaida_6 The lunatic brigade (Al Qaida, not the neocons, in this case) are 18,000 strong and growing. But how can this be? How can Al-Qaida be BACK? I thought Dubya was well on his way to crushing them. Didn't Bush say he has captured or killed 2/3's of their leadership? Turns out that hasn't even made a dent, just like Richard Clark said on 60 Minutes. Yet another fuck-up from the House of Ideas. So much for the "Bush Doctrine" on terrorism.
