Listen to Al Franken talk about Air America ratings
Edited on Tue May-25-04 02:17 AM by Eric J in MN
Al Franken began the May 24, 2004 "O'Franken Factor" by talking about good ratings news.

(The O'Franken Factore gets better ratings in New York City than The Rush Limbaugh show).

After discussing the ratings, Al Franken discussed bumping into Sean Hannity at a talk-radio convention, and later bumping into Alan Colmes at that convention.

You can listen to audio at:

2. Sorry, Not Quite The Story...
First of all...here are the latest trends:

http://radioandrecords.com/Subscribers/ratings/ratmain.asp?mkt=nyk

You'll see WABC's ratings are 2.5 points higher than WLIB (who only gained .1 under AAR...WABC's up .2) Those are 12+ numbers from 6am-Midnight...the only numbers anyone on the air can discuss. Specific numbers aren't supposed to be mentioned and are only for internal use.

With these numbers, I'd bet Rush beat Al quite handily...and I'd bet a bright shiny dime if you had the "breakouts" for 18-34 and 25-54 (the "money demo") it'd be a bigger spread. I could see Al possibly doing decent in 12-21...but unless you're selling Beyonce CDs and Video games, that's not quite the audience that will sustain a radio network.

Now, where are those numbers he's quoting? I'd like to be corrected.

3. Here's KPOJ's old ratings.
http://www.pdxradio.com/cgi-bin/yas/discus.cgi

28t KUPL .4
28t KPOJ .4
30. KSLM .2
31. KGUY .1

If they quadrupled, it's a 1.6, which isn't bad,
considering KPAM is only a 2.0.

Kewl.
