This so-called election scheduled by Jan. 05, is NOT for national leadership, but membership to a 'Transitional National Assembly'. There is NO date for national elections. Just another lie/mislead.

Also, trying to draw the UN in and provide troops...

1. I don't think drawing in UN troops is bad...

... in and of itself. Keeping US troops there with the intent of a permanent colonial force is dangerous. The US is so thoroughly mistrusted, by now, that further US presence is dangerous to troops and to the Iraq development process.

If we withdraw, and the UN takes over, there's likely to be much less violence. If we expect the UN to operate as our subordinates, there will be hell to pay--for us, for them.
