I Got On Larry King!!!

VCR alert! If you want to hear my (stupid sounding) voice, I got through about 15 minutes
before the end of the show. I was the caller from Wisconsin. Bob Woodward was the guest. I asked, in light of events in Iraq, and other things, who did he think would make the best running mate for John Kerry, and if he didn't want to name a name, to name some important qualities in a VP candidate. He basically said someone who could best serve as President. Then of course that idiot Larry King says, (I'm paraphrasing) "I think Joe LIEberman fits that bill, don't you?" What a chump! Woodward sort of brushed that aside.
Anyway, I was surprised to get on. It wasn't actually that difficult. Right after I talked to the person on the phone (before I got on t.v.) I heard that after the commercial break, they would have a statement from John Kerry on a$$hole's address. Guess i got pretty lucky with the timing, huh?

Im sure I would have been hard pressed to be polite to that guy.
My LK moment was the night before the 92 Republican convention. First caller. Guests? GWB and Jeb. I tore them a royal asshole until LK disconnected me. If Id only known then what was to come... All the rest of the callers were fluff sycophants. I cant believe I got past the screener :) "Yes, I have a question about family values..."

I had just tuned in at your question. You sounded very self confident. I would be a nervous wreck. There were a few good questions that seemed to make Larry and Woodward look like they wanted to crawl under their desks.

Good question - lame answer: Being Pres. material is not the major and only factor in choosing a VP. Sorry, Bob, but get with program. It should be the test but it isn't. Way too many other factors - like who can help win the Presidency? Because if you can't do that you ain't gonna be VP let alone Pres.

If Pres. qualifications were No. 1 then Bill Clinton should be the running mate. It was Woodward's way, perhaps, of backhanding Edwards as not VP material and Clark, for that matter, for not having any government experience.

Follow-up question might have been don't you have to be qualified as a potential president to run for PRESIDENT (Read: GW Bush).
