Holy smokes, Lou Dobbs' poll about Chimpy's speech tonight
Yeah, yeah, not scientific, doesn't mean anything, yada, yada, yada.

The poll is here:

http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/lou.dobbs.tonight/

Do you expect President Bush's speech tonight to significantly alter your view of the situation in Iraq?

I just voted, and it's:

43 Yes (1%)
3403 No (99%)

This is a colossal cock-up by Karl. Whether you're for or against Stupidhead's Excellent Foreign Adventure, the speech isn't likely to alter your perception. I've heard of the movable middle, but I don't think 1% is quite the target audience Karl has in mind!

7. Another crappy poll.
The "no's" could be either pro or anti-Bush. All it tells me is that people have made up their minds about this guy and his Iraq War.

11. That's what I meant
There's another thread on this poll (which I didn't see before I made my post), which boils the 1% response down to

"I'm stupidly supporting this war, but Bush's presentation could cause me to change my mind."

or

"I'm rightly opposing this stupid war, but being exposed to Bush's presentation might lower my IQ sufficiently that it would suddenly all make sense."

Anyway, considering that the likely outcome of the speech is no movement whatsoever in the public's perception, why are they even bothering?

9. Isn't the intended purpose of the speech to change perception?
That was the impression I had. I guess according to the poll, he can call off the speech.
