2. You really think they like W more?

I thought there had been a cultish almost slavish adoring for Reagan, and know that W's handlers have tried to shape him to be like Reagan (and I am sure that they tell him he is more popular than Reagan). The question is if they (handlers and bush) have been more successful? Not exposed enough to true believers to have a sense (I would have thought Reagan would be the prefered).

tax cuts... wait outdo Reagan... More Tax Cuts... Really outdo Reagan... MORE TAX CUTS! (to the point of absurdity given fiscal realities). At the same time... avoid the two perceived fatal flaws of poppy... don't break a tax pledge - and git Saddam! Thing is... that Poppy HAD to raise the taxes due to the negative impact the Reagan Taxcuts where having on the economy. And unlike junior, he seems to have understood that therer were going to be big negative consequences that would harm the country (of course junior doesn't care!)

All styled after Reagan. But I find him a real tinny imposter. Wonder if the Robertson theocrats adore him - but the rest still hold Reagan with higher regard. (In which case - if bush keeps in his free fall... a few of those folks may peel away from bush.)
