You Liberals Criticize the troops while sipping lattes(scarbrough trans)
I hate that one. Its always lattes, what the hell kind of stereotypes do they come up with. Anyway-I noticed he compared the war effort to kennedy and the moon. One was actually practical. i'm sick of hearing the media only reports the negative, considering they are whores for the white house, i wouldn't complain about the royal treatment.

By the way since we oppose the war--are we suppose to criticize it whle murding children? I don't want to call him a liar, but he is a fucking liar, and this is a funny statement.

He said: “Too many folks in the United States sit back and bad-mouth America while sipping their lattes from the safety of Starbucks. But the Iraq people get it. They‘re thankful the United States is here. Oh, and they love George W. Bush. It‘s close to idol worship. He is called—quote—“the liberator of Iraq.”
-Joe Scarborough

Ready for some Bullshit?

Guests: Eyal Press, Jeffrey Lyons, Penn Jillette, Bianca Jagger, Christopher Hitchens, Rafael Rodriguez, John Rhys-Davies

-snip---------
You know, “The Times” token conservative, David Brooks, did write today about how Americans have always been dreamers and how only America could have been naive enough to think that freedom could be nurtured in the most tyrannical region in the world and how America is also the only nation strong enough to make mistakes and still see that dream through to the end.
Speaking of dreamers, John Kennedy dreamed of sending a man to the moon. And less than six years after his tragic death, Neil Armstrong fulfilled the most ambitious dream launched by Camelot. And Dwight Eisenhower, well, he fulfilled his dream of Americans scaling unclimbable cliffs at Normandy and liberating France and the world from Hitler‘s murderous reign.

...

SCARBOROUGH: Yes. Well, no, certainly it is.
But I‘m talking about, though, what‘s happening right now. If you look at what‘s been happening in Fallujah over the past several weeks, peace has come to that region, and, as the Associated Press is reporting right now, “Let us speak about peace,” the leader of that region said. Fallujah was an open wound. Now it‘s healing. American deaths have obviously dropped, and they‘re talking about cooperating with us there...

30. *chuckle*
I read through your post fast while half-looking at your very handsome kitties pics & for one moment thought Scarboro was the black ones name & Father Coughlin was the little soccer-ball! :D
The names came out, respectivly, kind of above each of them! LOL

(Tell them not to be mad at me, it was a mistake! :)

My BEST boy, Mr. Spot, looks almost EXACTLY like... uh,
*Father Coughlin* LOL Their nose-triangles are almost exact!

I've got WAY too many cats... but
My *baby* died a couple weeks ago very suddenly - she was only 4 & hadn't been ill so I was --and am-- in shock.
I found her crawled under/behind the recliner moments from death.

I nursed her from 1 week old, she abandoned by her mom -- she fit easily in the palm of my hand.
Had to feed her a bottle every 2 hours in the beginning. Had to make *diapers* to 'piddle' her.
I'm pretty finicky & even would like to wear gloves scooping the litter box, but doing all that for her was not a chore but pure joy!

She was my constant companion. When not lying on her back in my arms
yes just like a baby - but I never put her in that position nursing or weaning or ever... she decided by herself that that's one of the ways she liked to be cuddled - on her back like a little 7 lb. newborn.
Anyhow, when not in my arms she & I would "Play tent"
I'd have to cover up in bed or sitting on the couch, throw a blanket over my lap and prop a knee up, and she'd crawl in and curl up to sleep with a good deal of purring and a little petting thrown in.

I'm only down to crying about every other day about my baby being dead,
but oh my God, for the rest of my life I will miss her every time I cover up ;(

She was as precious to me as any human child. No doubt about it.

Sorry, hate to be a bummer -- it helps to talk about her, and I saw your babies and... well it just came out.
What a beautiful baby she was/I had
She was a positive, beneficent and an enrichment to my life, of which I had the honor of bringing up even for so short a time. But oh my god how I miss her! ;(

Well, nice to meet you!
Thanks for listening... sorry again :)

Hell, I had to buy 2-for-1 MAXWELL HOUSE at Eckerds yesterday!

Weren't those notes on Bush's speech found in a Starbucks? Left by his Republican Staff?

Talk about someone needing a Reality Check! Yeesh!

3. That started with Rushballs. He talked about latte liberals. He always
puts some kind of adjective in front of liberal, so that the simple-minded, who listen to his spew form an unpleasant opinion about liberals. You see anyone who can afford a latte has to be an elitist and a liberal. Too bad none of them bother to look up what those words really mean in the dictionary, but Rushie knows they don't, so he gets away with it. Scar is just following the leader.

4. I don't drink coffee. I don't criticize the troops....well, just the bad
ones. I'm not particularly fond of brie, either. I could beat the sh*t out of most of the right wingers I've ever met, as long as they weren't toting their guns. I think Ted Rall is a f***wit. I think Jane Fonda was similarly a f***wit, and really a traitor, for her visit to Hanoi during the Vietnam conflict. My name's ForrestGump and I'm a fairly-far-left-of-center 'liberal.' And any neocon who has a problem with that can kiss my fist.

Now, if I could only get that Volvo, I'd be set. Let's see:
Liberal - check
Minority - check
Female - check
Academic - in grad school, check

These people aggravate me to no end - but to be fair, don't we have our neocon stereotypes? I know I do!

That said, I will continue to sip my caramel macchiato and critize in Starbucks while I still have the freedom to do so! So DEAL, neocon-breath.

I must confess I drive a Volvo (but do not drink lattes). I drive a Volvo because my first car was a 1972 Ford Pinto (also known as a crematorium on wheels). I figured after surviving 9 nerve-wracking years driving a Pinto I deserved a Volvo.

12. The coffee that has no name
I have to confess that my wacky husband has accumulated seven -- count 'em, Seven -- espresso machines. The latest two are automatic. You push a button, and the machine measures the beans (to your prior specification of amount), grinds them (to your prior specification of fine/coarse), packs the grinds, then draws the water through (amount of water to your specification), and dumps the grounds. Surely this would make Freepers nuts with condescending stereotypes.

(Hubby makes lattes. I make strong espresso and put evaporated milk in it straight out of the can -- the coffee that has no name, and no connection I know of to my politics except I'm told it's very weird.)

25. found many links at yahoo with 'scarborough and dead intern'
This looks like a good place to start.

Does Anybody in the Press Care About Lori Klausutis?

A young female employee of one of Florida's Congressmen had died unexpectedly in the Congressman's office. There were no witnesses to her death and the cause of death was not apparent. Klausutis' boss, Joe Scarborough had recently resigned from Congress prematurely and unexpectedly, amid rumors about his marital fidelity and soon after a divorce. He had also abruptly resigned as publisher of the Independent Florida Sun, claiming that resigning from Congress and as publisher was necessary to spend more time with his sons.

The results of the mandated autopsy, however, were deemed "inconclusive" by Dr. Michael Berkland.

Dr. Michael Berkland, it turns out, has a very interesting background himself. Recently relocated to Florida, it is a matter of public record that Dr. Berkland's medical license in the state of Missouri was revoked in 1998 as a result of Berkland reporting false information regarding brain tissue samples in a 1996 autopsy report. Berkland does not deny the charges.

It's also a matter of public record that he was suspended from his position as Medical Examiner in the State of Florida in July, 1999.

many links.....

hey, give 'em a break, they're obviously not the sharpest tools in the shed. proof; a neat little history lesson i got from a republican: (excerpt) "Let’s look at the Crusades: Muslims invaded Europe , and imposed their religion upon Westerners by force. Christian armies drove them back. The Crusades lasted about 200 years, but freed Europe from Islamic rule for nearly 1,000 years. Islamic fascism has always been the aggressor."
