I'm a Steelers fan and I'm momentarily devastated. I try to pretend that my beloved Steelers are not simply spoiled rich pigs, but deep down I know they're greedy bastards who don't care about the fans or anything but their own self-interest "I do love the city and fans, but I have to do what's best for me"

I'm truly horrified by Jerome. And I've defended his fat, washed-up ass for 2-3 years now. Thankfully, he'll be sitting on the bench behind Duce this year.

So... I grew up outside of Pittsburgh. I don't hate the Steelers, necessarily. I just hate a lot of their fans.

Now that I live in the Bay Area, I absolutely *love* Raiders fans, even though it's the same warped mentality. Maybe it's just that Raiders fans don't take themselves so seriously. More like amateur soccer hooligans?

I've also gotta ask the one billion dollar question - what do you think of the new stadiums. I went back to PA recently... the new baseball park looks nice. Kinda reminds me of PacBell (or fucing SBC as it's now called) in SF. But what is up with the orange seats in the football stadium? That's got to be in violation of some kind of building code. Exposing residents of Pittsburgh to bright colors usually has negative effects, including riots.

That's the cold fact of it. I remember Barry Bonds being interviewed during the summer of 96 and he said "Republicans are for the rich right? So I guess I'm a Dole man." These guys live in fantasy land anyway, they are unaffected by just about everything we worry about. Money might not be able to buy happiness or love but it can buy an awful lot of indifference.
