Well folks -- Project "Neutralize" has been launched
For some bizarre -- not sure if that's the right word -- reason, Bush is trying to downplay the torture pictures with images of Saddam torturing prisoners at the newly-named "Camp Redemption".

That has to be the most transparent, ill-minded, stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

I noticed the news today trying to push this bullshit.

And Tweety had a guest on who had been imprisoned by Saddam -- an English journalist.

Can sometime explain to me what one thing has to do with the other???

Are they saying that we are compassionate torturers??

Two wrongs don't make a right -- reacting to Saddam's actions with actions equally, or more so, egregious makes no sense to me.

16. This sould just remind the Iraqis how much we are like Saddam
This will backfire also. We didn't seem to care when Saddam was doing this, in fact, the whole truth should be aired about how we supported Saddam in many of his atrocities. Just superimpose a picture of Rummy shaking hands with Saddam over any one of the pictures and video of Saddam's atrocities. Then hold up a sign that reads, if Saddam is responsible as the head of state during these atrocities, so is Bush responsible for the prisoner abuses taking place under his control of Iraq.
See if this shit lasts longer than one day after that.

13. Desperate!!!!
The more info. that comes out, the more that even the most ignorant in Amerika are starting to understand that it wasn't a "few bad apples" that were or still are engaged in torture at the behest of BushCo. It will soon be obvious to most people that BushCo is not only responsible but complicit in the torture, not only in Iraq, GETMO and Afghanistan but secret torture places in other countries. BushCo is inflaming not only Iraqis but Muslims world wide. How many Muslims are there? Maybe a billion?

12. A general was saying this?
I wish you knew the name... from what I understand, the military are not to happy about what's happening here. I read that the chain of command which protects against these abuses was gamed by the chickenhawk civilians in the pentagon.

10. I'm seeing this more and more
This is the second time I've commented on it today. I'm watching several people on other message boards (all upstanding devoutly Christian women, if that matters) go through some amazing contortions to try to justify the torture by some of our troops.

It is ugly.
