Pelosi has actually framed the Central Issue for November
Its not about Iraq and its not about the Economy.

It's about Competence and Gravitas.

Ift about failing to understand the Grave nature of the August 6th 2001 memo. It about failing to understand that there was no smoking gun that should have been the prelude to the invasion of Iraq. It about not doing anythbing about what was going on in Abu Gharib when you knew 4 months ago.

Its all verified by Richard Clarke and David Kay and Paul Oneal and Joe Wilson.

Its about contiuing to press for Tax Cuts even though the Deficits are soaring to levels so large so as to be shocking. It's about completely hosing our relationship with Europe and being left with a coalition of the willing none of whom can suport in financial means the rebuildiong in Iraq.

The man lacks the Gravitas to lead. The man is incompetent

It might be a little early in the game to play this card....but....you go girl!

1. Yes, she did. Now if only Kerry would do the same!
We want to support someone who will stand up to the thugs who hijacked our nation.

11. Speak for yourself
We want to support someone who will stand up to the thugs who hijacked our nation.

I don't want someone to stand up. I want someone to throw that bastard out of the White House.

12. Kerry doing the same would be completely counterproductive
Plus, he doesn't need to. Pelosi has done it for him.

Haven't you ever noticed that the sharpest criticisms of Democrats never come from Bush himself? They all come from PROXIES -- Cheney, McClellan, Hughes, Rove, et. al. Why do they do this? Because it allows Bush to appear "above the fray" while his opponent gets slandered.

Yet, for some reason, some people here aren't able to comprehend this nuance and instead won't be happy until Kerry jumps headfirst into the mudpit, consequently ruining his chances for election.

13. Kerry can't call the president incompetent
It would be un presidential to do so.

Let the Pelosi's and other plant the seeds and make it an ongoing undercurrent in the debate.
Let the press and the pundits raise the issue again and again.

Kerry should just stay above the fray and look presidential

The chimp doesn't believe
that there will be a tommorrow, so he plans accordingly.

Needless to say, not one of the best traits for a leader to have.

2. And it's about saying there was not enough "actionable intelligence"...
with almost all the details right in front of his nose.. Incompetence? Or treason?

3. Right
The Chimp believes that it's his job to start a war in the Middle East in order to bring on the rapture. That's why he doesn't give a $hit about what happens to all of us.

5. incompetence
I think they had blinders on to anything related to national defense other than Iraq, "Star Wars" and unilaterally withdrawing from missile treaties.

The only way they would have done anything about the hijackings is if they got an engraved invitation to watch the hijackers in action hand delivered by Osama himself.

6. Exactly
This is why there is so much "outrage" from the ultra right. They can't stand for anyone to pull back the curtain, and they can't let it stick.

They will do anything to make sure the term "incompetent" does not become a common phrase used to describe Bush.

7. george bush can't run the USA as ken lay ran enron. its time for a change
pelosi's remarks were not only incisive, but also set the terms of the debate from here on out until november.

bush has run the country into the economic and spiritual ground. it will take this nation at least a generation to get over his incompetence.

were george bush a paid agent of an enemy power he could not have inflicted more damage to this country.

9. Congratulations to Nancy Pelosi!
Thank goodness we have at least two Democrats in the Senate willing to speak up about this insane situation in our country!

Where are the rest of them?

For crying out loud, we're getting more help from Republicans like McCain than we are from the rest of the Democrats!

Kerry can't do this by himself. Where are the Democrats??!!!

14. righ now bush is beating himself
when Kerry speaks up like Pelosi and so many others, he will be better off and the election results will be less in question. Kerry has got to find a way to separate himself from the vote for IWR, not just because of the politics of it, but because of the humanity of it. The war was wrong. Right now Dean is Kerry's best asset. He can say all the negative things about this war that Kerry can not without getting called on it. Dean speaks out and then Kerry is seen with Dean. It works.
