1. It's part of the plan...
he still wants to be the leader of Iraq but he needs to distance himself from the Americans before he can be accepted. He thinks this is the way to do, I think.

9. I've wondered how Chalabi and those other exiled asses are going to
fare. If I were an Iraqi I wouldn't be too thrilled that they encouraged this hell that has been unleashed.

8. that actually makes sense--I could see no reason for the US to go
aafter him like that, but you have a great point.

Wonder how effective it will be? What does Al-Jazeera think of Chalabi, I wonder?

Saddam got a 3.3% favorable to Chalabi's two tenths of a percent.

13. I saw that. I think Chalabi will be 'Noreiga'd' before too long.
I suspect that he's got a lot of incriminating dirt on our compromised pResident and probably Poppy, too. He has definitely conned these guys and his bold power play tells me he must have some leverage with Dimson.

So his 15 minutes of fame is about to be expired.

16. Exactly. Most players are Pawns in the BFEE.
We need to wake them up to the fact that they are ALL viewed as expendable to the powers they serve.

Are we brave enough to be civilized?

Out of Iraq...By Any Means Necessary
If Malcolm Were Alive
By KEVIN ALEXANDER GRAY
(A speech delivered at the 14th Annual Malcolm X Day Festival in Greenville SC on May 16th and in Columbia SC on Malcolm X Day, May 19th)

Like Malcolm, I want to speak to you in a straightforward, down to earth way that you can clearly understand.
...
Polls say that 70 percent or so of African Americans oppose the Iraq war. That's the good news.

Black people would have to be out of their minds to accept the government's attempt to define a class of people--terrorists--with absolutely no rights. That is the essence of slavery.
...
Brothers and sisters, there is something that is far, far bigger than the prison scandal. And that is the ugliness and violence at the core of the culture.

14. My 17-year old son
had to do a speech for a project in one of his classes. The class had watched some film clips of Brother Malcolm, who obviously was one of the most gifted public speakers in our nation's history. I was proud that my son gave his talk on Malcolm and Iraq. He said that our country could not hope to understand the cleric Sadr, because it had never really come to grips with Malcolm. He said that Sadr is really only saying the same things Malcolm said: that his people want to control their own communities, select their own police forces, and determine what their schools will teach their children.
It's encouraging for me to hear that young people are picking up on the word that Malcolm delivered. Thanks for your message, drfemoe.
