U.S. General Says No Inmate Abuse Pattern in Iraq
May 19, 2004 — WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An internal Army investigation has found no pattern of abuse of prisoners held by U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, but found problems in training and organization, the top U.S. military commander in the region said Wednesday.

Well, we have many many pictures that attest a differing opinion/situation. HOW CAN THEY INDICATE THAT THERE IS NOT PATTERN OF ABUSE?????!!!!!???? Unbelievable....totally unbelievable.

1. Well, as one senator so eloquently put it
you have Curly and Larry investigating what Moe is doing.

2.  I see a pattern of "souvenir photos" of torture victims and dead bodies.

3. With all...
the photos that have been exposed and reports written about abuse, this is just a bad attempt (and a really bad one at that) at denial or trying to put a new spin on this matter. Sorry, those of us who know better know that this b.s. just doesn't wash--nice try but it only makes this Army official look mighty stupid.

4. I guess what we see is not really abuse
Those pictures detailing what those prisoners are going through is just....bringing American values to Iraq then, not really abuse or torture or rape......

Given that I just read a story indicating that the same thing is happening in US prisons to muslims - I guess it does not fall under the umbrella of "abuse". (heavy sarcasm)

5. Just wait until the hundreds of photos and videos come out.
The other shoe hasn't even dropped yet.

7. Latest CNN poll during Anderson Cooper: Has U.S. apologized too much
over the abuse? What a joke. U.S. official position remains that it is just an isolated handful despite all the evidence to the contrary.
