that's what everyone was asking after the big attack in new york.
why do they hate us? a rhetorical question. and who are they exactly? certainly the iraqis hate us, and certainly the palastinians and their supporters hate us. certainly the people of afghanistan hate us, and probably 99% of the arab world hates us, for decades of imperialistic meddling, and nation destroying and building.

right after bushwar II began, a wedding party in afghansitan was 'accidently' fired upon and dozens were killed and injured.
the explanation was, they were firing celibratory fire into the air.
so they all had to be exploded, men, women and children. and of course the bride and groom.

just today, the same fucking obscenity happened in iraq, a wedding party, an accident. let's hope that the iraqis at least get an apology like the afghanistan wedding party did.

1. You've got it wrong mopaul.

The conservative pundits were all decrying us leftists for DARING to ask that question, post 9-11. They consider it a sign of weakness that we would even stoop to look at WHY anyone would want to attack us. They don't give a damn that US foreign policies cause this hatred of the US. All they want is to kill people and make people 'fear' us.

They seem to think that a show of force will end terrorism. I personally, can't think of anytime that's ever worked and I can't see how it ever will.

Even 'assuming' the US went into Iraq and Afghanistan with the very best and noblest of intentions, we don't know the people, the language, their customs, etc. Inevitably, we have conflicts. Inevitably, innocent people are killed. Inevitably, friends and relatives of the innocent victims will begin to hate the us and some will being to fight us.

I don't see how we can possibly 'win', without committing genocide.

BAGHDAD, Iraq - A U.S. helicopter fired on a wedding party early Wednesday in western Iraq, killing more than 40 people, Iraqi officials said. The U.S. military said it could not confirm the report and was investigating.



Lt. Col Ziyad al-Jbouri, deputy police chief of the city of Ramadi, said between 42 and 45 people died in the attack, which took place about 2:45 a.m. in a remote desert area near the border with Syria and Jordan. He said those killed included 15 children and 10 women.

Dr. Salah al-Ani, who works at a hospital in Ramadi, put the death toll at 45.

Associated Press Television News obtained videotape showing a truck containing bodies of those allegedly killed.

About a dozen bodies, one without a head, could be clearly seen. but it appeared that bodies were piled on top of each other and a clear count was not possible.

I think we had a terrorist attack world wide, one or twice a week before we figured out how to stop it, and now it is down to 2 or 3 a day.But who knows what is going on, no one in this country.
