OMG! Anyone see the Art Council PSA (anti-puke subtext)
Scene: A man is busking on the sidewalk, playing classical violin brilliantly. A narrator (Alec Baldwin, I think) says: "The less art children get, the more it shows." Then, a little freeper-in-training boy walks by with his mother and says to the musician in a snotty, superior tone: "Get a job!"

BTW, the kid looked like a little Sean Hannity. Anyone else see this?

2. Excellent, excellent, excellent!
I'd LOVE to see funding for the arts (and education, in general) increase when this administration is gone. My daughter is a Chicago Public Schools gifted student who, since second grade has been attending Spanish class (required) 4 days a week, yet only attends Art and P.E. once a week.

I'm sick of seeing arts and extracurricular programs gutted as part of a larger effort to develop little homogeneous information processors. The kids today unfortunately miss out on so much that would help to make them more well-rounded, worldly, wise individuals.

3. Bush's favorite "art"
I'm guessing:

Music: Lee Greenwood
Painting: Nagel prints
Literature: Ann Coulter's "Treason"
Film: "Missing in Action"
Poetry: Dirty Limericks
Sculpture: Precious Moments figurines
