this is not even the '68 force after Tet... this is far worst.

In '68 we at least had a chain of command, even if a dysfunctional one.

3. A must read. What jumped out at me was his saying

that the kids over there are being told they are hunting Al Qaeda so they think they are getting revenge for 9/11 when they mistreat the prisoners.

6. yes, to me that's the big untold story that nobody realizes

it's been bugging me for a WHILE. All these soldiers have been lied to, they've been told that the insurgents are terrorists, they've been told that Iraq was responsible for 9/11, they were told that the reason we invaded Iraq is to "get them back" for 9/11.

It's really sad the way they've been LIED TO EN MASSE.

It's absolutely tragic.

It reminds me of that old Hitchcock episode where the husband finds his wife has been raped, and as he's driving down the street, she points to a guy and says "him, him" and he gets out, hunts the guy down and ends up killing him in his rage. Then he gets back in the car, keeps driving, and the deranged woman starts pointing at every man on the street and saying "him him him"
