Lex-Herald Leader; Fox News a slave to Murdoch's agenda
Edited on Mon May-17-04 04:30 AM by Scairp
Good editorial. No registration needed.

The question is not whether but why Fox News is a right-wing propaganda machine, arm of the Republican Party and a vital part of the Bush-Cheney campaign.

<snip>

Murdoch and most of his media outlets are somewhere to the right of Genghis Khan, except when it comes to China. When China shoots people to quiet dissension or holds Americans hostage, Fox ignores it because of Murdoch's desire to gain and maintain satellite access to a mega-market.

Sorry, I'm losing my marbles. I forgot the link.

3. My my...
It seems that slowly and surely, the press is quite fed up with the Murdochian perversions of their craft and profession. Good. It's about time they at least appeared to be growing a pair.

7. And because Bush's Uncle Prescott is head of US-China Chamber of Commerce
and the Bushes are VERY territorial when it comes to China. They want any decision regarding China to go through the BFEE.

8. Good To See It In The Lexington Paper
Second largest paper in the state and widely distributed in the Fundie areas in Kentucky. Maybe the Christian Right will begin to get the message there.

9. I've said it before.
Kentucky is a wildcard. This is not a lock-step kind of upper south state where all are conservative and Republican. I wouldn't say they are necessarily left either, but my family, most of them anyway, always voted Democrat. They equate Republican with big business and rich people who don't give two shits about the poor working stiff stuck in the coal mines working himself to death trying to put food on the table. No, repukes are not always popular with the populous in Kentucky.
