1. I would try flea markets
I know it sounds goofy but a lot of country music fans at those and you can get used tapes and CDs for good prices.

8. I think its fairly safe to use...
Just turn off uploads and I'd wager theres a sub-.05% chance that you'll get a subpeona.

I never stopped using it. Kazaa Lite Resurrection is the best version I've found thus far: http://www.freedownloads.be/html/downloaddetail.php?down_ID=401

4. Hmmm
good question because not a lot of his songs are on the music sites. Mostly just the stuff on American.

Personally I love everything on American IV.

6. Cash
American IV: The Man Comes Around is just amazing.

Seriously, the Man is worth the money. They've released an "Essential" Johnny Cash which you could pick up for 20 or less probably. It has most of his hits pre-American days.

9. "Solitary Man" Album
in the "American" series. Best songs:

"I won't back down"
"Mercy Seat"
"One" (I think that is the name)

Great album

Best song ever? "Folsom Prison Blues" with the Best Line Ever:
"I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die"

10. I agree
"Hurt" and "Desperado" on that album are especially good.

7. Try the old-fashioned way
Go down to the music store and buy his music on tape, cd, or vinyl. Just the way the rest of us do when we want to own music.

12. The question was
what sites can you legaly download Cash songs. There are sites like Napster that you pay .99 cents per song so the artist still gets their money and nothing is stolen. Trouble is, right now it's still kind of new and there are alot of catalogs that are not available, like the Beatles or Cash's recordings on Columbia.

11. I got his whole last album off of Kazaa
The chances are extremely slim that you will get sued.

I have appreciated Johnny almost his entire career, but one thing that really clinched it for me was his version of "Personal Jesus."
