WTF is this? (Warning. Bloody. Not for the squeamish)
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/040516/photos_wl/mdf567894

Shi'ite militia fought U.S. and allied troops again in at least two towns in southern Iraq (news - web sites) on May 16, 2004 and buried their dead in the holy city of Najaf. Secretary of State Colin Powell (news - web sites) tried to patch up the damage to U.S. authority in Iraq caused by the scandal over soldiers torturing detainees. But, with the return of Iraqi sovereignty just 45 days away, there was little sign of an end to anti-American violence or popular hostility to occupation. Iraqi policemen guard the scene of a mortar attack in Mosul in this May 15, 2004 file photo. (Namir Noor-Eldeen/Reuters)

5. Maybe, maybe not.
I don't think you can discern anything from the picture other than someone was injured. Could they have carted the person in question off to a hospital? Possibly. Could the person in question be dead? Possibly. I was just noting that the picture isn't particularly bad, especially compared to a lot of other images we have seen from this war. Perhaps I am just desensitized as I find little to be shocking anymore. My apologies for being so cavalier toward what may indeed be shocking and gross to another.
