3. Are you referring to the Sy Hersch revelations?
I would have to say that from what I have heard (I admit I haven't read the article yet - waiting for my print copy), what you say may be true. It may not (yet) be politically expedient, but it just might now be "o.k.".

4. Does that make us Good German Citizens?
After all, we intend to sit by and do nothing.
mmm has been posing this question here and there for
the last month. I thought it a bit over the top when I first saw
it. I don't feel that way anymore.

5. every day that passes with them in charge makes us more complicit
i know it's also overstating, but, sometimes i just have to ask myself, 'why is no one stopping them'?

14. I think some are thinking of it.
I just got a fund raising letter from Congresswomen and Demcoratic leader of the House, Nancy Pelosi. She really accused them of everything we DU'ers have been saying for years. I know it's years late but better than the way they wouldn't fight the WH before. I have been trying to find the time to copy the highlights of the letter. I mean she talked about being lied to about the WMD's, the raiding of the US Treasury for special interests and much much more.

We really can't do anything individually unless our elected representatives listen to us and it seems the tide is changing. Nancy is pissed and she said that she was putting her political career out on the line for airing the ten accusations that she outlined in her letter.

16. What's the address to send Nancy Pelosi a donation?
I'm not in her district, but would like to help out to keep her in the House.

17. I'm not in her district either, but she was looking for
contributions for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, 430 South Capitol Street, S. E., Washington, D. C. 2003 or http://www.dccc.org

I know she has a website of her own, but I don't have the address, maybe someone else can help you there.

'Fraid I won't be sending any contribution to the national party, though, only directly to candidates or MoveOn.org.

12. Just because the neocons have incorporated the Nazi's playbook
in many, many, but not all, instances surely doesn't make them Nazi does it?

20. I read Sy Hersch's report, and cbs's article on "Copper Green"
and it only re-inforces the notion that they are operating right out of the hermann hess handbook. rumsfeld himself wrote up specific orders, and condi rice approved them, to torture any body they damn well pleased. rummy's words: "Grab whom you must. Do what you want."
kinda sends chills up the ol spine huh?

and after a re-reading, we can only conclude that bush himself o.k.'d this practice. the practice of rounding up anyone, involved in the 'war' or not, and going nazi on their asses. going into specific detail about sexual humiliation, rape, torture, etc.
it's all part of the official policy, coming straight out of the white house. it's all on paper too, the fucking idiots.

our own government created a marauding band of nazis, with no one to restrict them, to go play torture games with real live people.
official u.s. policy. you can bet your ass, 99% of military people do not have it in them to do such things to p.o.w.'s, and are horrified at what bushco has turned into.

i've been throwing the word nazi around for a couple years now, and i expect to get thrashed for it. but every day people, every day they grow stronger, and bolder, and they have only 6 months to do whatever the fuck it is they have in mind for us all.

22. Somehow, I want to keep the specific of their brand of evil
I am aware of all the similarities.
I also think that because of the more dangerous weapons, the religious fanaticism they do things a bit differently. So, my goal is that in the future, any demented dictatorial action (rather than a malapropism) be called a bushism.
