The irony of Bush and executions.
I just saw Bush on T.V. reciting a line about how "outraged" he is about the execution of an American in the Middle East. I was like, wait-a-minute, this clown has executed hundreds of people, including retards and women, in Texas. (Unlike Abu Ghraib, this must be the America "we all know" they preach about :eyes: .)

Anyone else annoyed by this?

1. He's outraged about lots of things:
* gas prices
* the treatment American soldiers gave Iraqis (which in turn helped create the situation that led to Berg's death)
* All the deaths on both sides

He's outrageous, nothing more. He breaks peoples' legs and then tells them "Come lean on me!" while dropping banana peels all over the floor.

2. I don't see the big deal, It was just a few Iraqi's blowing off steam...
It was no worse than a religious ritualistic sacrifice to the gods.

Besides, the Iraqis haven't executed nearly as many Americans as Bush did when his regime was in power in Texas.

3. No more annoyed
than usual. Everything that comes out of his mouth is hypocritical BS.

4. Here's an exercise...
Substitute the name Berg for Derwish.

<The authority to kill U.S. citizens is granted under a secret finding signed by the president after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that directs the CIA to covertly attack al Qaeda anywhere in the world. The authority makes no exception for Americans, so permission to strike them is understood rather than specifically described, officials said.>

<The Bush administration sees it differently. In killing him, the administration defined Derwish as an enemy combatant, the equivalent of a U.S. citizen who fights with the enemy on a battlefield, officials said. Under this legal definition, experts say, his constitutional rights are nullified and he can be killed outright.>
