Are The Berg Killers Speaking With Russian Accents?
Edited on Fri May-14-04 05:42 PM by FreedomReload
The weirdest thing I read was that they were speaking with Russian accents. This seems more important to investigate than plastic chairs or orange jumpsuits, agreed?

5. The human mind searches for the familiar.
I work with many people who do not speak English and often it amuses me when they say something that my mind "hears" in English. Just because someone thinks they heard Russian, doesn't make it so. I think if they were truly speaking Russian we would have heard this from more than one source.

9. But when CNN's
Octavia Nasr says definitively the voice on the tape did NOT have a Jordanian accent and expresses doubt that it was even a native speaker, That RULES OUT the olive-skinned, one/two-legged, dead/alive, al-Z for me! :tinfoilhat:

10. I never thought he was involved to begin with,
but ruling out Jordanians and Iraqis still does not necessarily leave us with only Russians to implicate. I just don't get the connection. My point was only that I've only heard of one source that said they were speaking Russian and it hasn't turned up anywhere else. Maybe the person just thought it sounded Russian because that sound was familiar to them, like when I "hear" English words when my Somali friends are speaking Somali.

8. Chechnian or Bosnian Al Quaeda? The obvious first thought

Pravda had an article about the whole thing being fake:

Could N. Berg's execution be fake?
05/14/2004 13:35

Given the incomprehensible jungle of information, the very first question, when viewing this video of an American civilian, N. Berg"s execution, should be whether it is even true?
