Call this a cheap shot, but the Star Report didn't even have pictures but it read like a porn movie and got more condemnation from the Wing-Nuts.

Maybe these pictures remind them of their frat days?

1. I think they are disgusted that there are pictures

and that the story got out to the public. I doubt they have any concern for what is actually happening in the pictures.

If you notice, before the pictures were released, they didn't act. They did nothing saying "we are investigating". Now suddenly in less then a week we have court martials popping up everywhere. That was fast!

They don't care about the torture. They care that the torture was made public. Just like they didn't care about the Geneva Convention when they wrote the rules for torture but now that realeasing the pictures is against the Rules of the Geneva Convention, they are suddenly feeling the need to respect the rules.

Their MO is so obvious.

4. Their Disgust Is Misplaced

As I see it their disgust is at the acts depicted in the pictures. They wouldn't care who was doing what is being done, the disgust would be equal. What they are not disgusted by are the people who did this, our boys. They are not disgusted by a command structure that is so weak that this sort of thing could happen at all. They are not disgusted by an administration that tried to make light of it and let it go unpunished for 4 months, and would have forever if the pictures had not leaked out. Their disgust is so damnedably misplaced that it is hard to immagine, but its true.
