Republicans to Rally for Rumsfeld in Columbus, Georgia on Saturday
Edited on Fri May-14-04 09:12 AM by onehandle
Update: I called the Civic Center and got a Major hint that the rally is there when they got silent for a second...and referred me to the local GOP HQ! I called them but there was no answer.

(if anyone knows what could be done with this information, spread the word)

I have received inside information that at the Georgia Republican Party Convention on Saturday afternoon, there will be a rally to keep Rumsfeld from resigning.

I called the convention center and got a partial schedule. There are speeches in the morning. Chickenhawk Chambliss, Ed Gillespie etc. Gov. Purdue will give the last scheduled speech at 11:30 am. However the convention is booked until 3pm. I doubt that Purdue will speak for three and a half hours.

Rumsfeld will most likely not be there, but he Personally called the organizers and thanked them.

The rally may be at the convention center or the civic center. Not sure which.

This is the same event that Zell Miller will be speaking at on Friday according to this article:
