Does anyone know anything about Berg's in-law in Mosul?
Several news stories say he was trying to visit an in-law in Mosul.

It's also notable that he would even try to travel around Iraq on his own.

"I am sure that he only saw the good in his captors until the last second of his life," Michael Berg said. "They did not know what they were doing. They killed their best friend."

1. I've read
that he was married to Michael Berg's sister who is dead. Nick Berg visited him and ,according to emails, Nick helped him set up an email account.
