Professional services workers' salaries were reduced by 10% to help curb losses

DETROIT — Most of Compuware’s professional services workers have been told their salaries will remain below what they earned last year even though pay cuts for other employees were rescinded.

The company’s 4,200-plus professional services — software programmers and network technicians who are contracted out to Compuware customers — saw their salaries slashed 10 percent in October when the company posted its first-ever unadjusted quarterly loss.
