Legs? How many legs does the prison-abuse story have ?

Is it a spider or a centipede? No doubt, it is an official "scandal" and will not disappear immediately. However, what is its lifespan? How much longer will this story survive? How many legs does it have?

1. It Has Legs

They're talking about hearings. More of the photos are bound to leak out. It has everything -- sex, violence, secrecy, race, suspense, religion, political infighting. It will survivie by sheer prurient interest, if nothing else. And there's always the question: "When will more of the photos be leaked?"

2. If the photos get leaked

If the photos the Pentagon is holding get leaked, and then of course they will turn up online, this thing will rage like wildfire. *Someone* else has got to have the pics besides the Pentagon, so it's only a matter of time.

4. There are many investigations going on, many reports to sift through.

Then there is the visual evidence shown to our Senators and held by the Rumsfeld/Myers Pentagon plus many stories coming from military families.

for a while. it keeps the whole mess front and center. speculation is always more juicy.

It will always serve to point up the hypocricy of our involvement in Iraq.

7. Centipede - they never thought it would get out

I smell an asscroft. Every time they try to cover up their poop, they only expose themselves more. They knew about this for a long time.
