dittoheads. The neocons have done a great job of touching all the hot-spot buttons that make it easy to brainwash the bigoted masses. No amount of reason, evidence, past histroy, or present complicity in the demise of our government and our democracy will get these people to change their minds or see the truth. They see it, but it just doesn't matter. The callers into C-Span prove my point. Bush's dubious past, his sleazeball Harken deal, his failed business ventures, his privileged acceptance into the Ivy League schools, his AWOL stunts....none of it matters. Blind racism and prejudices have been used to get the simple-minded masses to perform the work and fight the wars of the upperclasses throughout history and it will never, ever change.

1. You are totally correct. These callers are just the tip of the iceberg.
They are the most vocal, but they represent the "clarity of thought" of most of Bush*'s supporters.

2. I might remind you
That most Bush supporters would push their own mother down the stairs for ten bucks.

4. Haha, the Bush retirement plan.
The family pays or mysteriously old people just die all the time.

How to save social sercurity: push mama and grandma down the stairs.

3. Yep, I think about 40-45%
of Americans are unreachable.
That is why we must work so hard to get the reachable few to avoid the dark side and to keep our base motivated.
Problem there is that we libs/progressives/dems are "thinking people" and don't walk in lock-step. That makes it tough for us to rally around one person (in this case, of course, Kerry).
The good thing for Kerry is that BushCo is so abhorrent to most of us that rallying around Kerry becomes a little easier for those that realize the horrifying alternative of four more years of BuchCo.

So, my advice to you it to ignore the unreachables and concentrate on the reachables. They will decide this election. Kerry On!

5. It's Faith-Based Voting
Look, cult leaders ALWAYS get their followers to do what they want.

These folks are busy in the kitchen, making up the next batch of KoolAid.
