Gone for a week-The POW abuse story is STILL going?
Geesh when I last saw any news was last Friday (April 30) and the photos had just come out. Well we flew to Vegas on Saturday and I totally out of the news loop (Okay I saw that the truck driver "escaped" and was rescued-good for him) but on Wednesday of last week I see that the Iraqi POW's story is still in the news. Even this morning it lead the Today Show. I thought this story would be put to death a LONG time ago.

I see that things have not changed-W&Co. refuse to admit error.

Did Saddam take pictures of what the did? No that would be STOOooooPID.

I saw in the Charlotte airport on Friday that Fox was trying to spin the blame on this to the foreign press saying that the hooded Iraqi on the box photo has now replaced the Statue of Liberty as the world's vision of America. What to go W.

The "few bad apples" will implicate the chain of command one wrung at a time. There is already a court martial coming very soon. More pictures too. This story has more legs than a millipede. Stay tuned!

Kimmitt said this morning that "administrative changes" had been made-------we certainly wouldn't want to mess up anyone's little old career now would we. :eyes:

actually, Sen. Kennedy said that during the Rumsfeld hearings on Friday. THAT went on ALL DAY and was covered live around the world (inc. Al Jazeera).

the story is only getting BIGGER. the ugliest pics and video are not out. and the insipid chimp is going on a FIELD TRIP to the Pentagon.

In the Limo:

Bush: Pentagonagram, sounds scary Dick. Sound Satanish
Cheney: Shut up and finish your juice box.

p.s. see "Secretary of the Indefensible" for the TOON report!

5. Yeah I saw Lindsey Graham on Sat. mention rape and murder
He was making it very clear that if those stories are true that that is a whole other ball game and that W&co. shouldn't expect him to carry any water for them-no spin out of that. At least that is how I took his comments.

11. Enron went on for longer.
Hamill did not escape, he was let go after we stopped bombing and strafing Fallujah.

But this torture IS big news.

It sounded to me (the little info that I got) that he had been left alone. ON EDIT- that no one was watching him.

It is weirdly amusing to watch the media having to cover this story. They all look like they have a bad taste in theirs mouths from having to report on such a negative story for W&Co. I think this is comparable to the Trent Lott story that was not allowed to die due to public outrage. I missed Cookie on NPR this morning I wanted to hear her gagging as she couldn't put a positive spin on this or wash it away as a non-story.
