what's with bush's "americans love their neighbors" spiel?

just wondering why * keeps harping on about how americans "love" their neighbors. what he means to say is that american communitites are friendly and caring, and that is america's strength. a more sober politician would have put it somewhat that way.
is it just the 10 commandments connection? or is it just that he doesnt like words with more than 2 syllables???

sample these:

... I'm sad to say. Both his impromptu remarks and prepared speeches are laced with Biblical references, and this pleases the hell out of the fundamentalists.

It's all about votes. Both Bush and Rove know this--that's why it continues. Bush used the word, "crusade," to describe what we are doing until they realized it was impolitic to do so. The usage promptly stopped.
