1. If your in Marin it is a grass fire they are watching.
Otherwise they might be coming for you.

2. Happens all the time here in Los Angeles
But less Blue Thunder than the routine police-chasing-down-villain, police-following-freeway-pursuit, or traffic-reporting helicopterage that goes on here. It'd be hard to tell, in a city like this, when they start firing up the black helicopters.

9. Since you're in the Houston area, it could be Life Flight.....
Also could be watching the traffic, but I think Santa Fe is off the beaten track for rush hour.

10. That's nothing.
A rabbit ran across my back yard this morning, and yesterday a moving van went down the street in back of me.

Anyone else have any interesting neighborhood news?

14. I'm guessing at the 100 feet, because of the trees........
It might have been much closer. I had the blinds closed, but I could hear those rotors. It sounded like it was going to land in my back yard. And I could feel the house shuddering against the wind that the rotors put out.

11. It might be GWB making another photo op?
This time by helicopter, he is going to land on top of a Bookmobile, and encourage children to read. Something he doesn't do!

12. bah ha ha, i get paranoid too
we have pantex here and we have the longest runway where planes come in and practie landing. we also have a canyon military use to practice for the wars in middle east. we also have the hugest slowest plane that has for a couple years flies low and slow circling over the city. i saw the eavesdropping plane being sent to afghanistan recently and looks a lot like that one
