Just uploaded a site for Southern Dems...
It's in its preliminary crappy stage right now, but I'll update it further and you can bookmark it if you like. It is housed at:

http://www.geocities.com/SweetTeaDemocrats

Now I'm going to bed. I'll update it again tomorrow. There should be plenty of articles to read on it until then.

Dob

1. Oh yeah...
and I would also like any feedback that you could give me on it. I just threw it together in a few hours, and I hope to keep it updated.

4. Thank you for doing this
and for sharing it with us.

The name 'sweet tea Democrats' made me smile. I prefer tea, and news, unsweetened - but I'm a transplant.

Took me a minute to 'catch' and enjoy that the graphic/link to the articles on your front page was facing left, rather than a mistake. (I'm a little slow on the uptake.)

Bookmarked for reference, and looking forward to your updates.

It's just facing left. A lot of Virginians are in the Southern Presidents gallery too.

6. Is it just me?
Or have you reconfigured the geography of the south? North Carolina is landlocked.

7. Dob Bole, this could be interesting.......a couple of suggestions, though.
the map is reversed and for us "clueless computer folks" maybe you could add a "click here" or "enter" to the map. It took me awhile to figure out I had to click on the map for the articles.

Other than that, it's a nice list of articles...with appeal to Southerners. Great Idea. :-)'s

 and pretty too! Pleasing to the eye.

on edit: one little psychological comment..given the inference of "blue states" and "red states"...did you intentionally make the states red on a blue background?

16. It wasn't intentional...
Besides, everyone knows that Florida and Tennessee weren't REALLY blue states in 2000....
We were robbed.

18. I assume you mean weren't really RED states
either way, great site. BTW a poster named JOBYCOM has a link ( I think) to a great site on his posts. He might also have some tips for you. He is a politically active Texas Dem and a very reasonable poster.
