3. Thanks for the link because I went there and
decided to watch just the following two:

THIS WEEK (ABC): California Democratic Party Chairman Art Torres; California gubernatorial candidates LT. GOV. CRUZ BUSTEMANTE(D), state Sen. Tom McClintock (R) and ARIANNA HUFFINGTON(I); and Pete Wilson.

and

LATE EDITION (CNN): REP. DENNIS KUCINICH(D-Ohio), former secretary of state Henry A. Kissinger, former FBI deputy assistant director of counterintelligence Skip Brandon, former Defense Intelligence Agency analyst Col. Patrick Lang, attorney Roy Black and San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom.

(people in caps = why I chose these 2 programs!)

23. Evidently, LATE EDITION
Edited on Sun Aug-10-03 11:26 AM by Jawja
changed their lineup.

Right now, it's all California with Jerry Brown and Dana Rohrabacher.

It's ALL ARNOLD, ALL DAY.

ON EDIT: Blitzer: "Is Arnold the next Raygun?' (paraphrase)

:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

4. Darrell Issa is to be congratulated
Despite his tearful withdrawal from the race, he deserves credit for successfully implementing the greatest diversion of the news media since Laci Peterson. Or, Kobe Bryant. Or Gary Condit, well, you know, the list goes on and on.

It's keeping the real issues off the front pages and the talk shows, that's for sure. And it will for two more months now.

8. Am I wrong to resent this attention to California?
Or just jealous that they are recalling Davis, while Bush fattens his warchest for re-selection?
Recall. Why didn't we think of that? :(

9. At least they aren't all Republicans this time around
The last time someone posted the guests on the Sunday news talk shows, the only one who was not a Republican conservative was Joe Lieberman. He sure loves to appear on FOX News. Are their viewers his base?

11. No, No Ahhhnuld
The way he faked "not hearing" Matt LAUER's question is a clue that he will be running, all right-----running away from answering non-airheaded questions. He's gotta hide in plain sight throughout this campaign period, banking that if and when he does get "in" he will have more Shrub-type "thinkers" around him, telling him where to stand, read what is handed to him, smile.

Haha, on This Week somebody just said, "I don't KNOW if (Ahhhnuld) is a (Shrub Repuke)---he hasn't taken a position on anything." Hahah.

13. The "Why" on Ahhnuld's Not Answering LAUER (spin)
******QUOTE*****
http://www.nypost.com/gossip/pagesix_u.htm

.... "Today," which was first up, was supposed to wrap Matt Lauer's interview at exactly 7:08 a.m., insiders say, so Schwarzenegger could keep his commitment to Diane Sawyer on ABC's "Good Morning America."
Attempting one of the "oldest, lamest tricks in the book," our snitch says, Lauer tried to prolong his interview to throw "GMA" off schedule.

However, Schwarzenegger's political team in California, wise to morning-show shenanigans, simply cut Lauer's audio feed to the star at the appointed time, terminating the "Today" host's effort to disrupt its rival broadcast and leaving Lauer doing the scrambling, laughs our source. ....

I'm waiting for the transcript to go up though. None of his answers were short and I'd be transcribing here all morning if I wanted to be fair.

I've seen these before and they weren't good the first time.
California has 35 million people...lots of experts but CNN et al's
rolodexes only contain one or two of them.

Let's get some new opinions eh?

on Reliable Sources. They're predicting "his LENO moment is over" and there will be a "piling on". Oh, Howie is asking, "Why should there be questions about this EXTRA MARITAL GARBAGE,"-------fine, Howie, like in '98-99?

Edited on Sun Aug-10-03 10:44 AM by UTUSN
The newspaper dude just said the LENO moment is NOT over, that the VOTERS are mesmerized by "this story", that Gray DAVIS *is* gray, that "This was the reason Al GORE didn't win, because people just didn't want to turn on the t.v. set for 4 years and see HIM." Lying bastard.

25. She's a patrician, Georgetown, snotty, elitist snob
She gave a little history lesson about how Jefferson wanted a Republic, not a democracy, and would be rolling over in his grave to see the "people" directly electing someone like The Terminator. She loves Bush -- and conversely revolted by Clinton -- not because he's Republican but because he's part of the aristocratic, God-Family-Country Club upper crust.

21. Why Didn't Jerry BROWN Run?
He's on with Wolfie. I know he was considered flakey in his youth, but his gravitas is DEADLY now. When he went into his slump, did he lose to (whom?). RAYGUN beat his dad. Kitty KELLEY's bio of Nancy (Anne Francis ROBBINS) was devastating about all of her, but specifically about how she dissed First Lady BROWN, demanding that they move out of the Governor's mansion EARLY so Anne Francis could hold a thank-you party for the fat cats.

ENRON and the * White House.

Kucinich tells it like it is.

27. KUCINICH: "Texas is very FRIENDLY Territory."
Wolfie just asked him if Austin "of all places" is "enemy territory."

Haha, KUCINICH pinned CA's problems on Shrub and Enron. "You know what, we never had a CHANCE to talk about Enron in the last election because the (mal-)administration knew it was in trouble and changed the subject to war."

Wolfie: "Why hasn't your campaign generated ANY enthusiasm."

28. "Gray Davis is paying for Bush's sins" - Kucinich on Wolfie
Great. DK is lambasting Bush's corruption with Enron and the shilling for the phoney energy crisis as a major cause of California's troubles.
