I got my first campaign contibution today!!!
...and I wasn't even asking for it!

I was at a birthday party for a friend of my daughter's. The birthday girl's grandmother was a frequent attendee of our peace rallies, and had signed my petition for candidacy. She began to tell her friends abouyt my campaign, and when it was time to leave, two of them gave me money!!!

Yes, my campaign bank account has a BALANCE! Now we're rolling, huh???

Technically, the first money put into my campaign account was from PayPal, when they deposited two small amounts to verify my checking account, but these are the first donations to me.

Jeff Seemann For Congress is the account name on PayPal (BIG hint, hint, hint), and the e-mail address to donate to via PayPal is jseemann@neo.rr.com

3. 16th District, Ohio
For the US House.

Ralph Regula is the incumbent, but has not yet announced another run...he'll be 80 when the next term begins, and he just may call it quits.

No other names on the ballot yet for either major party side, and the Libertarians AND Greens have pledged support.

8. You can contribute in other ways
*wink wink*

CAMPAIGN MANAGER'S NOTE - Mr. Seemann made these remarks while on a doctor's prescribed medication and was not referring to sexual escapades in any way. As a matter of fact, he didn't make the comments at all. these are not the droids you are looking for.

10. One comment
In the future if you are lookking for contributions post the request to the campaigns forum (Not a criticism, just a request...i'd hate to see the GD forum degenerate into a fundraiser!)

12. Good point...
..but I was actually just being happy about my first contributions. Sure, it's turned into others contributing, but the original intent was my presence on Cloud 9.

Point well taken, and not considered as a criticism.

15. jeez, can GD "deteriorate" any further? I think not...
fundraising would help raise the tone in the forest of "gee whiz, this thought just popped in my mind" and "oh, here's another thought" and "I don't want to be post 32 so I'll start my own thread"
threads that are already here---"guidelines" or no guidelines. I woke up today to about a dozen by the same username. All lame. Every damn one of 'em.

You were already in the budget for the day when regular "pay days" roll around our hose again. Not a fortune, but something!

16. Thank you
I appreciate anything and everything that can be offered, from a couple of bucks to advice to research on my opponent.

In return, I promise a full description of what it's like to be on the floor of the House the day the Dems take it back...January, 2005!
