More Republican hypocrisy

Our governor in Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, wants to increase borrowing by about $8.3 billion to maintain/build roads and bridges. But the Republicans are up in arms about irresponsible borrowing, leading to a state budget deficit. What the fuck do they think about their man occupying the White House and his policies? Haven't heard a damned thing about that. These people are pathetic.

State Treasurer Judy Topinka called for a moratorium on borrowing Thursday morning even before DOT’s proposed $8.3 billion budget was released.
“I’ve been voicing my concerns for the past two years about dangerous borrowing that the state has relied upon during this fiscal crisis,” she said. “This unprecedented increase in borrowing and the utilization of backloaded payment schedules is going to cause irreparable harm to our children, to our grandchildren and to the state.
