8. VERY FUNNY
I like that: "I would like to apologize to the American people and the people of Iraqi for being one sorry asshole. Oh yeah and for surrounding my self with sorry assholes as well." I'll email this to Karen Hughes maybe she can work it into one his press releases.

5. The polls must be saying it's
ok for him to say it. Not from the heart because he doesn't have one.

7. It's always squeezed out of him after the damage is done.
Edited on Thu May-06-04 01:29 PM by Minstrel Boy
When hepped-up US pilots bombed Canadians in Afghanistan, it took Bush days to get around to even an expression of regret. And it was given only under duress, after it was clear his silence was causing a huge breach in US-Canadian relations.

10. Love the photo, MP.
No, I do not believe a word that comes out of that man's mouth, including an "apology".

This man is a reactionary president, and his whole administration is. In other words, they wait and wait until things reach catastrophic proportions. Things could have been handled earlier on with less fallout, but they choose to ignore serious matters. This is called being reactionary.

A pro-active president would have taken matters into his own hands and not even WAITED for this catastrophe to happen. He would have looked into the situation at the first sign of trouble.

Which he doesn't do.

11. He quoted himself, saying he TOLD the king he was sorry
Still can't say it in person to the people who deserve the apology. I'm pretty sure he's never done anything like that ever.

This was as distanced from the act of the apology as he could get under the circumstances.

And what was Abdullah going to say? "No you didn't. You said something but it wasn't exactly an apology"

So we basically still haven't heard an apology.

12. What this is like: My kid goes down the street, beats up a neighbor
kid and takes a photo of it, because another bully neighbor told him to. I see the photo but instead of going to the parents of the kid who was beat up, I go to his neighbor next door and tell him I sure was sorry to see the photo of the neighbor kid getting beat up. As opposed to me marching my kid down to the neighbor's house who had the beatup kid and saying, I am sorry my child did this TO YOU and he is now going to apologize, too.
