3. I think he has found his "theme".
Edited on Thu May-06-04 01:02 PM by lovedems
Woo-Hoo!

He is totally going to capitalize on the mistakes of this administration and it is going to be great. When the pubs start accusing him of politizing a tradgedy, you will know they are pissed that he is beating them at their own game. You know they would jump all over this if a democrat were in office!

Go Kerry!

15. Two minutes?
I frequently transfer clips from TiVo onto DVDs.

The pols usually get 5 minutes. Scarborough actually gave Wes Clark 9 minutes to talk about getting out of Iraq back in March.

I've never seen one that was only two minutes.

Cluelessness should be a criticism for a president, but for Bush it's often used as an excuse.

long. That way he can ALWAYS claim ignorance.

14. This is a great issue for Kerry
While everyone knows he voted to give Bush authority to go to war, obviously he didn't sign on for what appears to be rampant prisoner abuse.

He can hammer and hammer away at this all day.

19. But Bush knew
How could he not know? There were already 3 investigations and the Red cross was making loud noises.

It wasn't about not knowing. It was about you not finding out what was commonplace.

29. Oh thank god!
That's a PERFECT message! "As President, I will not be the last to know..."

It portrays Kerry's strength, while summing up Bush's weakness (or dishonesty, whichever way you want to go).

I hope they are working on a tv commercial with this theme TODAY.

34. Responsibility
That is *key.* It goes to honesty, integrity, courage, humility, and self-discipline, as well as Basic Intelligence.

I think another campaign theme should be: Intelligence Matters. We have an administration that doesn't read reports, forgets things, says "I didn't know" in response to every issue from 9/11 to WMDs to tortures; and a president who needs things read and explained to him, who can barely read through a speech, who cannot deal with questions from reporters let alone the public....

I think the slam that Kerry is "boring" should be met with the truth that he is smart and that it matters, as the past few years of this incompetence should have taught us.

Edited on Thu May-06-04 04:05 PM by dave29
Clip of Bush:

"I want to restore honor and dignity to the White House"

cut to Bush at Press Conference asked about ever making mistakes...
leave for entire uncomfortable answer.

cut to clips of Bush passing Buck, newspaper clips of administration in disarray.

cut to pictures of Iraqi torture victims.

Voice Over: "Bush promised to restore honor and dignity, but he forgot the first step is ACCOUNTABILITY. We need REAL leadership in the White House".

John Kerry: "as President, I will not be the last to know."
