so, is it still pointless to bring up impeachment?
or 9-11 and bushco's 'failure' to warn us about it?

1. Yes!
I am afraid to say, Repubs run both houses and the Supreme Court. It would be almost impossible.

3. will not be achieved, but not pointless to keep screaming
I say, keep hitting Congress people with the fact that he SHOULD be impeached and convicted of war crimes as well. Just because an impeachment can't happen does not mean we shouldn't express our extreme displeasure with the thug.

4. in my opinion
not only is it not pointless, it is the only way to handle this. anything short of beginning proceedings before the election will have no impact on the rest of the entire world watching us now and even then, it will take decades to restore any kind of credibility back among the world. we are talking about global politics now.

anyone want to take a guess, and do you even dare to think about what the october surprise may be? i don't think we can afford to wait until after election, i sincerely believe that proceedings must begin now

7. very important point
the world knows Bush is a lying, murderous criminal. The failure to even attempt impeachment reflects very poorly on America. If nothing else the word needs to be repeated over and over and over, "impeach!"

5. Impeach * and Cheney becomes Prez
Impeach them both (unlikely in the extreme) and it's Dennis Hastert, Speaker of the House.

Any way you look at it, we lose.

9. Pubs control both houses, BUT if pub opinion goes against
Bush and Rummy, just watch how many Pubs switch their opinion!

They all support Shrub for now, but if it looks like the tide might turn on them, KAtie bar the doors!

10. No
I think we must, if we're to save any amount of credibility at all. If we don't, it looks like we think lying about a blowjob is a more serious crime than duping the public into an unnecessary war; not to mention going on vacation for a month while your NSA tries to figure out what "Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside the US" means.

11. NO! Not pointless at all.
In the same way that the constant repeating that Kerry is a flip-flopper has caught on, we should get people used to hearing the word impeachment in connection with Bush.

Too many people hear words like "honest", "Christian", "leader", and "strong" in connection with Bush.

It's time we plant a little doubt about that - - everywhere we can.

12. These Are Internation War Crimes...Let's Start There
Imagine this regime under International indictment? I keep asking, what's holding up an inquiry. Wasn't the causes of this invasion grounds enough for an investigation?

13. Technically, yes. But I've wasted my time in worse ways
Edited on Thu May-06-04 01:22 PM by rocknation
I think we have to make the effort now because not calling for it is worse because it infers approval. Silence equals death--isn't that what the AIDS advocates say?
