Beware of the 25 Billion Supplemental Request!!
Some think its good news for the Dems as Bush has to ask for it prior to the election and it can be used against Bush.

I think may actually work against the Dems. My guess is that the Rethugs will try and exploit every nay vote or even any language opposing the funding request. They will try and turn all opposing Dems into Max Clelands. They are shameless.

Thoughts?

1. The contents of the bill
need to be made public and trotted out for everyone to see.

There's more pork in there than in the whole State of Iowa...in my opinion.......

4. they were just blowing off steam!
The Rethugs have a set of excuses that they use constantly. They simply look at the situation and select one of the following excuses:

1. he/she misspoke
2. they were young and/or it was a youthful or frat boy prank
3. it was Clinton's fault
4. terrorism

5. call for a full and independent audit before any more $ is allocated

$87 billion is only part of the money going into this debacle

whomever is authorizing the spending (deciding what contracts are authorized under the $87 billion; what is being spent) should be told to cease and desist; and, the role handed over to an independent entity, maybe GAO, until the spending is brought under control, and everything is accounted for ...

the household budget is a mess
