or actually suggesting California just sit out the present administration until we get a legitimately elected president in the White House. We could do this by holding back FIT from Washington and the state could use that money to reimuburse us for the Enron robbery and other fiscal disasters brought upon us by the previous Republican governor. Since California, as the fifth largest economy in the world pays the lion's share of revenues into the Treasury, maybe it would get their attention.

Or that money could be put in escrow too for a future President, but kept away from this one. There should be a law lying around which gives a state provenance to do this I hope.

4. Not just California got Enronized!
Washington state citizens got reamed too. We were forced to sell our power cheap and buy it back at 1000 times the price. Many of our public utilities have been charging a surcharge on power ever since. My public utility lost 100 million dollars in one month. It put the company in the red for the first time in its history. My bill went up 50 dollars a month and never went down. I paid because Enron screwed with California. How much did other citizens pay I wonder?

I can see how people in California could think Gray Davis should have stopped these de-regulating thieves from scalping the state, but they should also remember that GOP is the one who pressured and pushed the whole notion that privatization of public utilities was a good idea.

I keep waiting to hear that Enron is bought up by the Saudis or something. Wait until they own all the utilities companies in the country. How will Americans feel then? We don't like their controlling our oil consumption, just think how we'd like it if they owned our electrical utilities, water resources, and nuclear plants.

Bush, Cheney, and Enron attempted a hostile corporate takeover in California and failed. The recall is their latest attempt to accomplish what they failed to do.
