Watching Wilson on C-Span: It is clear that our press is intimidated by
the Bush administration. Wilson has alleged that a number of his friends in the press have been afraid to give the public information that might be negative against the Bush administration because they have been threatened with losing access to the WH. Wilson said that an editor of the NYT receive a call for Scooter Libby right after a critical article about Libby had been published. You can tell it at the press conferences where every single reporter handles Bush with kid gloves.
People we have lost our democracy. He also revealed that the administration business partners were visiting 'suppliers' to determine who had contributed to the Democratic party and that they would cut off or threaten to cut off business with the ones who had contributed to the Dems. This is organized crime at the highest levels. Any small business person who votes for this corrupt administration needs to have their heads examined. They should all be about voting these gangsters out of office. What is happening in Iraq is diverting attention away from what is happening at home. The least that the Kerry campaign could do is to stop sucking up to the Sharon government and pay attention to what is happening here at home and expose some of this stuff. It looks like this election is not a choice between the lesser of two evils...it's simply no choice!

2. Shocking

You hear it in the RW radio talk show and on Fox also - anyone who speaks against Bush is mocked and insulted - for their physical appearance, for their position. You don't hear Rush, Laura or Sean say - I disagree with that -- you hear - that fat cow, what they have said is deeply troubling, they should stop talking - they are unpatriotic, they don't care about our men and women, they are politicizing this, didn't I tell you the left loonies would politicizing this. If you listen to Sean and Laura yesterday (I had a 4 hour drive...) they were spinning the whole prison torture scandal into - we are so much better than Saadam was, while this is terrible, this is nothing compared to what he did, anyone that speaks abou this is not supportive of our troops, the left is politizing this, they are happy this happened, -- wonder what Clinton thinks about this - wonder if there are any pictures of Clinton and Monica rolling around in the oval office, (then Sean launches into a Clinton-like accent) and continues to insult Clinton.

Meanwhile, democrats are still arguing politely about substantive issues.

PEOPLE -- if we don't support Kerry 100% and fight this with every breathe we take - we are not going to get the WH back.

4. Using the excuse that they would lose access to the whitehouse
is like journalists complaining that they would lose access with Hitler rather than report on the Holocaust.

Oh that's right, they didn't report on the Holocaust.

Let Bush lose access to the press instead.

Democratic party marching orders: No criticism of popular wartime president.

6. Tom Delay, K Street Project
IIRC, this is the effort to pressure lobbying firms to hire only Republicans.
