1. I had some hope for Powell at first...

but he made a deal with the devil. It's like the Red Cross...today the BBC reported that the Red Cross knew what was going on at the Iraqi prison and continually asked for it to be stopped...nicely, I guess..."pretty please"...why they didn't scream it from the rooftops is beyond me and why Powell has continued to whore for Bush, until now, I beyond me...power, I guess. But note that Powell hasn't said any of this...it was his top aide.

2. I use to think

that he stayed around to ensure some moderation in these idiot's actions - that was when I still had some respect for him. But when he lied at the UN I completely changed my mind.
