1. That's is what I'M sayin' baby!
The thought of those disgusting fucks
in the prison photos mingling among us...
If that doesn't make you want you
to get the hell out of this country, I don't
know what would.
BTW, your poll choices don't go high enough
in potential numbers of McInsanes returning...
My nephew says eight in ten of his fellow soldiers
is more accurate- sorry, I am not good at math,
but I think by estimation, the poll should include
a 100,000 choice.

8. shoot
i wanted to leave when the popularity of wwf wrestling had taken such a hold! it was sickening to watch so many people into that garbage and to me, reflected the american conscience. not all of us, thank god, but enough so that it was noticeable. that mentality is what we are seeing from the prison photos, imo.

2. Ugly to contemplate, but
the fact that everyone we are killing in Iraq is Caucasian will make this worse than Vietnam in per capita psychiatric problems among returning troops. (Everyone in Vietnam had grown up on residual propaganda from WWII and Korea and it was easier to utterly dehumanize Asians.)

4. Caucasian?
"the fact that everyone we are killing in Iraq is Caucasian will make this worse than Vietnam in per capita psychiatric problems among returning troops. (Everyone in Vietnam had grown up on residual propaganda from WWII and Korea and it was easier to utterly dehumanize Asians.)"

They're not Caucasian, and they are easily dehumanized as 'ragheads.' Just go to free republic to see how that works.

5. Yes, Caucasian
Of course we have dehumanized Arabs as much as possible; raghead, sand-nigger, etc., but Arabs are Caucasian. So are people from India. So are Ethiopians, for that matter. Iraqis look more like European Americans or Hispanic Americans than Vietnamese people do and that makes a difference.

I'm not saying it SHOULD make a difference, but it does. That's why we fought a war in Bosnia but not Rwanda.

6. I guess
but most people think (or at least I was under the impression that most think) that caucasian = "white," and Arabs are not generally thought of as "white." If you asked an American whether someone from the Caucasus range was a "Caucasian" they would most likely say no.

11. You're being generous

If you asked an American whether someone from the Caucasus range was
a "Caucasian" they would most likely say "gee, what state is that in?"

7. If there is a McVeigh...
Tell him to go after Halliburton and the war profiteers. Tell him to leave the innocent kids and people like us who were against this thing from the beginning out!!!!

10. I'm sure we'll have quite a few McVeighs and John Muhammads
What's more, we'll probably have a new generation of homeless alcoholics and/or drug addicts just like the ones that Vietnam created.
